This Business Started When I Needed It Most
What began as a way for me to move, work with my hands, and get through a difficult season grew into the business Brent and I are building today—a dedicated Kihei studio built around honest recommendations, careful work, and a genuine love for helping people enjoy their vehicles.

WHERE IT ALL STARTED
A Difficult Season Changed My Direction
Island Elite Detail began during one of the hardest seasons of my life. When my daughter moved to Georgia, I found myself in a low place. Sitting behind a desk all day in my previous job only made it harder. I knew I needed a change—something that would get me moving, let me work with my hands, clear my head, and put my energy into something I genuinely loved.
I had always cared for my own vehicles and already owned many of the tools and equipment. My 2008 Civic Si was the vehicle that really taught me how much I loved detailing. I enjoyed the process, the transformation, and the pride of stepping back and seeing what careful work could accomplish.
What started as an outlet became a purpose. One vehicle led to another, customers began trusting me with their cars, and Island Elite Detail began to grow.
JOINING FORCES
We Saw an Opportunity to Build Something Stronger Together
As Island Elite began to grow, I met Brent, who was running his own detailing business at the time. We had each built our experience separately, but it became clear that we shared the same passion for the work and the same belief that detailing should be done with care.
Brent brought his own strengths, experience, and approach to the work. We decided to join forces and build Island Elite together. What had started as a personal outlet began developing into a real team, a dedicated studio, and a business capable of serving customers at a higher level.
Today, we continue building around a simple idea: give people honest guidance, take pride in the process, and deliver work we’re both proud to put our names on.

A Growing Team With a Place to Do the Work Right
Today, Brent and I lead Island Elite Detail from our dedicated studio in Kihei, alongside a growing team committed to careful work and honest service.
Our studio gives us the lighting, equipment, and controlled environment needed to properly detail, correct, restore, and protect each vehicle. It also gives Maui vehicle owners a professional and reliable place to bring their vehicles.
Being born and raised on Maui, I understand what our sun, salt air, hard water, and everyday driving can do to a vehicle. Our goal is simple: take care of people, take pride in our work, and continue building a business our families and community can be proud of.
