New vehicles can benefit from being protected early, but even new paint should be inspected and properly prepared before coating. We’ll evaluate your vehicle, how long you plan to keep it, and how you use it—and tell you honestly whether coating is a worthwhile investment for you.

Every coating installation includes a thorough wash, decontamination, demineralization, one-step paint enhancement, and adhesion-promoting polish. If the paint needs deeper correction to achieve the result you want, we’ll explain why and quote that work separately before proceeding.

Our standard ceramic coating installation treats the vehicle’s exterior surfaces except the wheels. Wheel coating can be added separately and carries durability and warranty coverage of up to 45,000 miles.

No. Ceramic coating is not scratch-proof, cannot stop rock chips, and does not eliminate water spots. It adds a durable, slick barrier that helps resist environmental contamination, preserve gloss, and make proper washing easier. Routine maintenance and prompt removal of mineral deposits and bird droppings are still important.

Installation time depends on the vehicle’s size, paint condition, preparation required, and selected coating. We’ll confirm the expected appointment length after evaluating your vehicle. All of our coatings reach full cure after seven days, and we’ll explain the curing precautions you should follow before delivery.

Ceramic coating creates a durable, slick layer that helps resist environmental contamination, enhances gloss, and makes routine cleaning easier. Paint protection film, commonly called PPF, is a physical film designed to provide greater protection against rock chips and other impacts. Ceramic coating does not replace PPF or stop rock chips. Some owners use both when they want impact protection along with easier maintenance and enhanced appearance.

Routine washing and annual professional coating maintenance are required to keep your coating performing properly and retain warranty coverage. For everyday care, we recommend proper hand washing or rinseless washing whenever possible.

Our annual coating checkup detail is currently $300 and includes a wash, decontamination, demineralization, coating inspection, and a ceramic topper when the coating is performing as expected. Future service pricing may change and will always be disclosed before scheduling.

Yes. After the seven-day curing period, using an automatic car wash does not by itself void your coating warranty. Proper hand washing or rinseless washing is still the best choice for preserving your vehicle’s appearance, but if an automatic wash is the only practical option, it is okay to use one. Touchless washes are preferred when available.

Because a coated surface is slicker and releases dirt more easily, your vehicle can come out cleaner while the coating continues helping protect the finish. However, ceramic coating cannot guarantee against swirls or physical damage caused by tunnel-wash brushes. Damage caused by automatic-wash brushes is not covered under the coating warranty.

Warranty coverage remains active when the required annual coating maintenance is completed by the installation anniversary or within the following 30-day grace period. We’ll send a courtesy reminder when maintenance is approaching, but the vehicle owner is responsible for completing it on time. If a treated area experiences verified coating failure while coverage is active, we’ll prepare and recoat that area at no charge. Missing the required maintenance window voids the warranty.

The warranty covers verified failure of the coating on treated surfaces. It does not cover scratches, rock chips, water-spot or mineral etching, bird-dropping damage, accidents, repainting or bodywork, automatic-brush-wash damage, improper chemicals, neglected maintenance, or other damage to the vehicle. Yes. The remaining three-year and eight-year warranties and the lifetime C6 warranty can transfer to the vehicle’s next owner at no charge. The new owner should contact Island Elite Detail to confirm the annual maintenance date, and the required maintenance schedule must continue to keep coverage active.

Every coating installation is registered with CARFAX to create a professional service record. This can help document how the vehicle has been cared for and provide future buyers with additional confidence, although it does not guarantee a particular resale value.

A professional ceramic coating service includes much more than applying the coating itself. Your investment includes a paint inspection, thorough cleaning and decontamination, demineralization, one-step paint enhancement, adhesion-promoting polish, controlled installation and curing, aftercare guidance, CARFAX registration, and installer-backed warranty coverage. Waxes and spray protection can be useful for shorter-term protection, but they don’t include the same preparation, long-term coverage, or ongoing installer support.
